Call of Duty : Black Ops is the seventh release of the Call of Duty franchise. From this article, we are going to find out the interesting things about this game.

As we said, the game released in 2010 as the squeal game of Call of Duty : World at War. From 2010 the game had a positive run through all the major gaming platforms (PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii)

Gameplay Mechanics in Call of Duty : Black Ops

Like all games and many other Military Games, this game features as a first person shooter game. The game take place in 1960‘s during the Cold War Era.

Game Setting and Playable Characters

The game set on the Cold War Era, the game shows the events of a CIA agent, Alex Mason. Through Mason, player has to face various challenges during the most parts in the game.

Throughout the single player campaign (Events happen in 1961 to 1968) Mason tries to uncover a plot against US. He is assisted by Jason Hudson, Frank Woods, Joseph Bowman and Viktor Reznov (A prominent character in Call of Duty : World at War).

During the story, player hunts down various characters who are in charge of the Project Nova (Chemical Weapon used by the sleeper agents inside US). This includes, Red Army General Dragovich, Colonel Kravchenko and Nazi Scientist Steiner.

Gameplay and New Additions

Call of Duty : Black Ops offers similar amount of gameplay experience like other Call of Duty games. Weapon system, HUD, movement and most of other gameplay mechanics are much similar to the previous Call of Duty games.

For the first time in the franchise, player characters talk in between the missions which is more impressive than previous installments in the series.

Call of Duty : Black Ops is a game which offers greater gameplay experience and it will definitely it give you. Like many military games, this game has a great story line that you should tryout.
