Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a stand-alone expansion of the 2012’s Far Cry 3 game. Basically, this was the eighth game of the Far Cry franchise (overall). The game is available for PC (Microsoft Windows), Console (PS3 and Xbox 360). The game is a highly underrated game comparing to the other games in the franchise. So, from today’s article, we are going to talk about this game.
Basic Gameplay of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
The game’s protagonist Sergent Rex ‘Power’ Colt is a military cyborg’s actions in an unnamed island that sets the base story of the game. The game is heavily inspired by the 1980’s films, cartoons, and other kinds of stuff.
Talking about the game, as a stand-alone game, this game doesn’t need Far Cry 3 game to play. The gameplay mechanics are basically similar to Far Cry 3 however. (Since they used a similar game engine and other mechanics). But, there are some differences we can observe. Those include no crafting upgrades or skill tree differences. And also, the game is open-world like most of the Far Cry games.
The game contains vehicles just like Far Cry 3 and side missions similarly. As usual, stealth rewards more experience (named as ‘Cyber Points’). The game also has a high amount of hidden collectible items too.
As a stand-alone game in a famous series, this game has done considerably well. So, Metacritic suggests 81% for PC Gameplay. They have also given 82% for PS3 and, 80% for Xbox 360 gaming. So this implies that the game is overall a good one. It has also called the fastest-selling downloadable content in Ubisoft’s history.
