Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 (PES 2016) or commonly referred to as ‘PES 16’ is the fifteenth edition of the Pro Evolution Soccer series. From today’s article, we are going to talk about this great game.

As you may have guessed, PES 2016 is a Sports Simulation Game. This game is created by ‘PES Productions’ and published by Konami. It’s a game that is available for PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One users. The game features the 20th Anniversary of PES game productions. Like you see the above picture, the game cover features ‘Neymar Jr’ in his Brazil National team kit.

Features in PES 2016

The game has a single-player mode to play offline, multiplayer to compete with other players around the world. Furthermore, the player has the opportunity to create his own player and become a legend. The player can also act as the team manager to control the things both on and off the pitch.

In the initial release, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 has included several licensed soccer leagues and teams. However, it had got the license for ‘UEFA Champions League’, ‘UEFA Europa League’, and ‘UEFA Super League’. The followings are the other licensed leagues you can get in the initial game.

  • Copa Sudamericana (Both 2014 & 2015 seasons)

These are the partially or unlicensed soccer leagues in the initial game.

  • Premier League (unlicensed league with only ‘Manchester United’ as a licensed team)
  • Serie A (unlicensed league with 19 licensed teams)
  • Serie B (unlicensed)
  • Portuguese League (unlicensed league with ‘Porto’, ‘Sporting CP’ and, ‘Benfica’)
  • 3 Teams from Bundesliga (‘Bayern Munich’, ‘Borussia Monchengladbach’, and, ‘Wolfsburg’)
  • Brazilian League (unlicensed)
  • Chilean League (unlicensed)
  • Argentine League (unlicensed)

Downloadable Content

After the initial release, Konami released official several Downloadable Content as ‘Data Packs’. These contents include new teams, new boot styles, new team kits, new transfers, and several changes in gameplay. The last data pack which was released back in June 2016, introduced UEFA Euro 2016 edition. This featured new team kits for the Netherlands, Brazil, Croatia, England, France, Portugal, and Turkey.

Conclusion

PES 16 Game has got great reviews from the gaming community. Metacritic has given 87% to the PS4 gaming in PES 16. That’s a really high score. IGN also gave 9.5 out of 10, naming it might be the best football game ever made. So if you love soccer, why not try this marvelous game?
